Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains what information Designed By Fetch collects when you use designedbyfetch.com (the "Service"), how it is used, and the choices you have. Designed By Fetch is a small business owned and operated by Mike Montpetit in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada. When this policy says "we" or "us", it means me — it is a one-person business, and your data is handled accordingly: minimally, and only to run the Service.

Account information: your name and email address, and a securely hashed password, collected when you register. Your profile also stores settings like your subscription tier and remaining credits.

Your designs and prompts: the text you enter, reference images you upload, and the images you generate are stored with your account so you can access them from your Gallery.

Billing records: subscription status and invoice history. Card details are handled entirely by Stripe and never reach our systems (see "Payments" below).

Basic technical data: standard server logs (such as IP address and browser type) generated when you use the Service, used for security and troubleshooting.

We use your information to operate your account, generate your designs, process payments, provide support, and keep the Service secure. We may also send occasional service emails — plan changes, policy updates, or responses to your questions.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use your designs or prompts for advertising.

To generate designs, your prompts and any reference images you upload are sent to Google Cloud (Vertex AI) for processing. Google processes that data as a data processor on our instructions under its cloud terms. Do not upload photos or material you would not otherwise send to a cloud service.

Payments and subscriptions are processed by Stripe. We never see or store your full card number. Stripe provides us with the minimum billing information needed to run your account (subscription status, plan, and invoice records), and Stripe's own privacy policy governs the payment data it holds.

The Service uses a small number of cookies and browser storage entries: a session cookie to keep you signed in, and a local preference (dbf-theme) that remembers whether you prefer the light or dark theme. We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.

Your data is stored in a Supabase (PostgreSQL) database protected by row-level security, so your designs and profile are readable only by your account. Access to production data requires administrative credentials that are kept private. No method of storage is perfectly secure, but we take reasonable measures appropriate to a small service.

We keep your account information and designs for as long as your account is active, or until you ask us to delete them. Unsaved generations may be cleaned up periodically. To request a copy of your data or the deletion of your account and everything in it, email mike@designedbyfetch.com and I will take care of it.

Depending on where you live, privacy laws — including Canada's PIPEDA — may give you rights to access, correct, export, or delete the personal information we hold about you, and to withdraw consent for its use. To exercise any of these rights, email mike@designedbyfetch.com.

The Service is not directed at children. You must be at least 13 years old (or the minimum age of digital consent in your jurisdiction, whichever is higher) to create an account. If you believe a child has provided us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make material changes, we will notify you by email or in the Service before they take effect. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page always reflects the current version.
